I just got home from a goodbye tea party with my girlfriends. Our tea party was extraordinary and magical! I left feeling closer to my friends than ever before, which is a great feeling to have, considering I am moving so far away! They are charming to begin with, but tonight they were charming – redefined! I cannot narrow it down to any one thing that made it so apparent, but I will list the thoughts that come to mind!
It’s the way they stack used coffee cups to prevent tears and throw on some sunglasses to hide them. It’s how they all have agendas in their purses…each one different and suitable to the scheduling needs of the proud owner (I know they spent many minutes in Staples selecting them!). I love how the agendas come to the tea party with 10 events and leave the tea party with 25. It’s the way they bring laptops to show off their amazing bungee jumping moments and how they plan to repeat this TERROR next weekend. It’s how one likes their cinnamon roll glazed and the other, frosted. (I’m on team FROSTED!). It’s also how they cried with me in the middle of an empty parking lot, then continued to perform cheerleading jumps with forced smiles……OSCAR WORTHY! And if there isn’t already a “HUG” award, I am going to create one!
These girls……….what more is there to say?!! They are AWESOME. I love them! As per the beautiful ring they gave to me, I promise to “Live. Love. Laugh” forever! Oh – and the incredibly adorable necklace with a flip-flop charm is SO PERFECT for my grande adventure :) Thank you girls! You make my heart happy :)
