My friends and I have created a new saying we call “T.I.E.”. The acronym stands for “that is Egypt” and it is used effortlessly throughout the day. Let me provide you with an example of when this term would be used:
This morning, we were waiting at the bus stop when all of a sudden a big blue bus showed up that said “Dolphin Tours” on the side. Yes – realistic drawings of dolphins were included in the advertisement :) Normally, the bus wouldn’t have been so funny at 7 a.m., however, it turned out that it was our bus for the day! Fellow teachers were laughing hysterically inside as they saw our looks of confusion. One teacher yelled out, “our other bus broke down”. Another joked, “we are going to marine land, Egypt!” As we climbed onto the Dolphin Tours bus, my friends and I remarked in unison, “T.I.E.”.
That really is Egypt (and so was the blood sample experience). Still want to come and visit?!!
