My FIRST piece of MAIL! :)

As if I wasn’t excited ENOUGH for the weekend…..

Yesterday, I was surprised to find a lovely Canada post package in my mailbox at school!!! My very first piece of mail! You can imagine the Lindsay reaction! D. Galley – you saved me from CHAI TEA withdrawal and I certainly LONGED FOR that beautiful white ring you sent too :)

For those of you who aren’t familiar with my girlfriends and I, we have this thing about CHAI TEA. Particularly, we really enjoy chai tea lattes…and every Starbucks trip involves this delicious beverage :) However, the Starbucks in Egypt does not make chai tea lattes and the grocery stores do not sell chai tea either! This of course resulted in shock (initially) and lots of complaining (which continued until…YESTERDAY!). One of my sweetest friends (and obviously a very empathetic one), must have assumed I could not survive in a place without CHAI! I think she was right…the days were getting tougher and tougher :)

Receiving chai tea was SUPER on its own…but it was MORE than just receiving it. It was the way in which she mailed it. Each individually packaged tea packet was taped to a bright yellow card. And each individually packaged tea packet had a WONDERFUL little message underneath it :) Things such as “you are beautiful”, “live.love.laugh.”, and “explore the world” were among the hidden words :)

It is now Friday morning (which is the Canadian Saturday morning) and I am sipping my chai tea, watching BBC, and marking some AMAZING projects :) What an unbelievable way to begin a weekend.

D. GALLEY – I love you.

xoxo

p.s. according to our pyramid pets, we are having a VERY GOOD air quality day!!! I was able to hang my laundry outside while admiring them :) AWESOME.
