Spring has sprung at Elk Lodge! Kelly made a trek to the flower man the other day and returned home with TOO MANY plants……..including a tree. He failed to follow Emily’s rule of “removing the dead plants before replacing them with new ones”. He failed to follow my rule of “all plants must be smaller than Jeff’s Great Dane.”
This brings me to my next point. Jeff got a GREAT DANE! She is massive and scary. Her real name is “GG”, but I refer to her as “Mrs. Dinosaur”. I am trying my hardest to like her.
Our Kraft Peanut Butter tally is 5. I did inventory this morning.
We are now 7 hours ahead of Ontario. Although the longer daylight hours are enjoyable, it really does make a difference when connecting with home!
Someone at the lodge is reading a novel called “Skinny Bitch”. My goodness….it is hilarious. We have read-a-louds at night and jokingly pretend Elk Lodge is on a diet. Too bad we have those 5 containers of Kraft Peanut Butter.
The satellite and internet are broken. The satellite and internet are important to us. That being said, the satellite and internet are no longer on our “good side”.
Our dining room table is covered with glass. The glass decided to split in half mysteriously.
Emily and I are both teaching “Space” in our new units. How fun is it for a Grade 11 teacher to share ideas with an SK teacher? VERY.
This weekend is “Labour Day Weekend”. My question is….can we have the holiday now AND later?!
