Inspired by my safari in Kenya, I have been busy snapping photos to create a “Canadian Safari” album. I have captured some great pictures of the usual creatures – squirrels, loons, hummingbirds, chipmunks, herons, etc. However, none of the photos make me say “WOW” like the lion versus wildebeest or zebra versus zebra shots from Africa.

Today I went for ice cream with my designated Double G (an alternate term for my “Gilmore Girl”). It was a lovely idea! The sun was shining and we found a quiet riverside bench to enjoy our Kawartha Dairy treat. We expected the activity to remain low-key, as we caught up on the gossip from the previous week. Who knew I would snap my most captivating “Canadian Safari” picture during this short visit?!
