I love it. My run is my thinking place. It is where I make to-do lists, create plans, figure out feelings, and get rid of stress. Unfortunately, my thinking place is never promised. Sometimes I go on a run and my “thinking place” isn’t there. I am distracted. It’s too humid or boring or crowded or interrupted. Sometimes there is too much hustle and bustle to work with my mind…..my run seems counter-productive and I get frustrated (re: Cairo).
This summer I have been spoiled by the effortless escape to my thinking place in Canada. There is quiet. There is green. There is LEVEL PAVEMENT. Any suggestions for success in the city is welcome :)
