My new hall-mate (the physics teacher) and I have been creating nicknames for staff. His name is Si, so naturally, I declared him Si-Fi (clever, I know!). However, the acceptance of the nickname on his part was conditional upon my acceptance of the nickname "Barbie". It's something I have heard before....and so we finalized the names with a verbal contract.
Well....my new name has recently been revoked. Do I have "arts and crafts are my favourite activity, I consider balls of crumbled paper (with smiles on them) my friends, High School Musical is the greatest trilogy of all time" written all over my face? I must.
Last night, my age and interests were relayed at a staff party. My new nickname? SKIPPER.
"You're not old enough to be Barbie. But, you can be her sister."
BAHA. I did some skipping on the walk home :)
