Tonight we had grilled cheese and soup for dinner :) It was my very FIRST grilled cheese in Egypt (I KNOW!)…….and I can’t believe I went over two and a half months without it! From now on, I refuse to have an intermission from grilled cheese ever again!
Anyways, my lack of grilled cheese for two and a half months is not the point of this post. My point is that some people have gone without grilled cheese for much longer. Remember my sweet friend, Twilight? Well – she said something tonight that led to unexpected jaw-dropping and laughter. I may still be in shock….and I advise you to sit down for this:
TWILIGHT has NEVER, EVER had a grilled cheese in her ENTIRE life (23 years!).
My, oh, my! I didn’t even know what to think about this. Was she kidding?! Do they call grilled cheese something else in Newfoundland (where she is from!)?! It appeared to be such a sad scenario….
Alas, no need to fret! You can relax now (I imagine your reaction was similar to mine). ELK Lodge responded to the crisis with the preparation of Twilight’s first-ever grilled cheese :) Imagine, witnessing someone taste something so glorious for the very first time?! We couldn’t wait to see her reaction…..the suspense was INCREDIBLE! Well – this is the MORE shocking part (remain seated):
Christa: It’s alright. (Insert shoulder shrug here). It’s just cheese and bread.
