An Update:

1. I now belong to a cheer squad for the men’s baseball team. The squad, composed of many other energetic teachers, is working on official uniforms for upcoming games. I never liked baseball until yesterday. (Maybe water wasn’t the only thing in those sippy cups).

2. I brought a mountain equipment coop backpack back to Egypt with me. I have used it every day since I returned. Good purchase? YOU BETCHYA!!!!

3. Cairo looks like Christmas and I love it. The brilliant coloured fabrics and flashy lights are a real delight during Ramadan. If the city didn’t shut down during prime-time, I would be more inclined to support a perma-Ramadan motion.

4. With respect to running shoes, I have switched from ASICS to Nike in order to use the Nike + system. I feel like I’m betraying a good company. Although, the Nike+ adds a little jazz to my running routine. Who wants to compete online?!

5. I have eaten meat two days in a row. It’s a big deal. Especially in Egypt.
