Today is Family Day. Unlike you lucky ones in Canada, we had to go to work today! And unlike you even luckier ones in Canada, we had to do MORE work when we got home from work today! I have been reading my grade 12 biology textbook (with a tea!) in MY room.....Kelly has been reading "The Golden Compass" for his class novel study in HIS room...and Emily has been creating a class play in THE LIVING ROOM. Three family members, all in SEPARATE rooms....on FAMILY DAY! OUTRAGEOUS, I know!
But - something special just happened. I opened the fridge door. Took this picture. And ran to my computer to share it with you.
What you see is the ultimate definition of family.....a lunch for three, all prepped for another busy day tomorrow. I love my Cairo family.
