Tonight I had scrapbooking club after school. Christa, Emily and I run this club every Wednesday for students in grades 3 and 4. Of course, the club consists of mainly all girls and we sing along to the radio as we work away at our BEAUTIFUL scrapbooking pages :)
During today’s session, we made a radio request to our friend at Nile FM (the most popular radio station in Cairo). The girls wanted to hear “Love Story” by Taylor Swift. Well – I wish you could have been there when the song was finally played (dedicated to the scrapbooking club at CISE)! It was a priceless, memorable moment…….I don’t remember the last time I saw such excitement! The girls knew every word to the song and I couldn’t help but tear up as I listened to them sing in their best voices, while cutting and pasting with their best effort. I had to run behind the craft cupboard to hide my tears!
I have been playing that same song all evening….it is stuck in my head! And the smile that comes with it – still there too!
Kids rock.

Oh how I wish I could see your creations. (is there room in your home for one mommy to curl up on the floor for a visit....)
