The lack of anything “Christmas” in Cairo is incredibly disappointing. I am not used to such UN-festive behaviour! Personally, I have been singing Christmas songs and dreaming of holiday activities since the end of October! I understand that October may have been too “early” to start celebrating (well, not really)….but COME ON – it is now December 3rd! Where is the excitement?! I suppose this is another unhappy truth about living in Egypt. Luckily, I leave for Prague tomorrow afternoon!!!! Ahhhh – the excitement of traveling to a very merry place for ONE WEEK!
